My review of Bill Gates' Source code biography, including notes on the portions I found most interesting.

This was an interesting read, and would recommend, especially to those interested in computer history. The book goes over Bill Gates’ early life as a child, up until Microsoft’s move from New Mexico back to Seattle. It covers his time in high school, Harvard, and early childhood.

I think my favorite chapter, was the first one, which describes some of his time hiking with the boy scouts, and a programming problem he was trying to solve at the time. In the audiobook, this is read personally by Bill which is cool. I also found the tales of his time at Harvard using their PDP-10, his almost expulsion, and the creation of the first version of BASIC.

Overall - if you’re interested in computer history and the history of Microsoft, it’s a cool read.
